Are there any common natural disasters? (i.e., hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, etc).
Yes, there is a risk in certain areas of the land of encountering natural disasters.
The Sozulyn Mountains pose the risk of avalanches, with snow accumulation being heavier there.
Dastetha Swamp provides not only dangerous swamplands, but it is a lower portion of the land and can risk heavy flooding, which can come closer to the moors and make the area unavigable while it's under flooding.
Jeledran Beach also runs the risk of flooding, and some of the minor outlying islands have previously been known to go underwater. There is always the risk of undertows or undercurrents when swimming to the islands, and the chance of drowning. Heavy rains can bring the tide higher upon shore.
Part of Obridin Forest is known to have minor quakes, nothing major, but the minor outlying island off that coast also experiences them. Typically, the kingdom will find indication through other creatures vacating the area and being found in spots not usual for them.
There are no hurricanes or tornadoes on the island, and no noted history of such.
There is also no noted history of tsunamis.
Minimum age a character can be when joining?
The minimum age a character can be when joining is 2 years old; this is the standard age for wolves to leave their birth packs, and the rule will extend to big cats as well (even though wild ones can be known to leave their pride earlier than 2 years). No pups are permitted to join alone without an accompanying adult, to explain how they would have survived the travels across the land bridge into Rasende.
Max age a character can be when joining?
The maximum age that a character is allowed to join is 11 years old. This is on the older end, and closer to the age they would be to retire, which doesn't give them much time to work or provide for their rank; however, they can live out their lives in relative comfort within the kingdom and still enjoy the company of others upon retirement.
Max age for a character to be within the group (would/should we have a required age for them to pass).
The maximum age permitted for a character is 20 years old. We are leaning towards fantasy in this aspect, as a wild animal would not typically live to be that age. There are rare reported cases of wolves living to be that old, which is why we allow this. The typical life expectancy for a wild wolf is approximately 8 years, with some individuals living up to 14 years. Some big cat species, like tigers, live 15 to 20 years, while those, like lions, live 10 to 15. By older age, a character is likely experiencing the downsides of their age, from arthritis to higher susceptibility to illness, and eventually succumbing to old age or dying from sickness.
Age requirement for moving to the Elder role/retiring from their working position?
We try not to force characters to retire/move to the Elder role if they are still physically able to complete their duties, and it may vary from character to character. Typically, the standard age expected to move to Elder is 15, as the oldest any character is expected to get to is 20. (the max age permitted, as they would no longer be physically able to sustain themselves and likely succumb to illness or old age.)
