IN CHARACTER RULES
1. LOYALTY AND RESPECT: Rasende is a family unit, bound by love and loyalty. The members of Rasende must place the kingdom's unity and welfare above all else. Rasende will not be a kingdom to fall at the first sign of strain, but will instead be expected to band together and overcome adversity. They will not ebb and flow with the tide of fate, but will instead remain strong and grow powerful from the ruin of the more feeble kingdoms surrounding them. Respect within the kingdom is crucial. Whether it be for the Queen/King, or for the Zaquen, respect is expected and earned. However, this is a kingdom and has many workings of one. Mess with one citizen, and you have the whole might of Rasende after you.
2. OBEDIENCE: Those who cannot respect and follow the commands of the leading members will be reprimanded. It is paramount that order is maintained, as fragility is bred from anarchy. Every member must have faith that the Queen/King will act in their best interest. All members are expected to work as a team. Rank and respect are everything; if a member of a higher rank gives you an order, you must follow or face retribution. Every few months, the Sigrid and Outrider may lead members in a hunt. The Warden and Chevalier may hold large group sparring sessions. Or, the Physician and Adapter may host a workshop, displaying how their two branches work together. Participation in these events may not be required, but is highly encouraged in order to promote a sense of harmony within the kingdom.
3. STRENGTH AND WISDOM: To ensure Rasende is a kingdom to be feared as well as revered, members will be expected to train and grow their strength whenever possible. Showing weakness to another kingdom is not condoned, nor is accepting their aid except in the most dire of circumstances, unless alliances have been previously formed. Rasende is a kingdom of strength and monolithic perseverance.
4. PRIDE: Always put the Kingdom first. The members of Rasende will be the finest in the land, and they should act like it. Rogues will certainly be drawn in by their allure, and other kingdoms will grow to fear their name, but only if the members within can maintain the confidence and persona they will have earned through training and hard work. Pride in Rasende will be encouraged and celebrated. Talking down on the kingdom will be met with punishment.
5. FREEDOM: Wolves of Rasende will always be rewarded for hard work. Ranks can be earned by fighting or through deeds well done. Natural skill and training will result in promotions and respect. Lack of effort and dedication will earn you demotions. Any member within the top two ranks of their branch may openly explore all the territory, and outside of the borders of our lands. Any second rank must be aware that their actions are more closely scrutinized, and should avoid straying outside the borders, but may be accompanied outside the borders by a higher rank. Members within the starting rank of their branch may leave camp, but should stick closer than those above them. They may be accompanied to the border, but may not pass outside the borders of our lands.
6. MATES AND PUPS: Mates may be taken from within or without, but children will be expected to be reared within Rasende's bounds and added to the ranks. If you wish to have any smut RP, it is to occur in DMs. Love is encouraged; however, the Queen/King must be aware of a mating, especially beforehand. There's little better than a Mating Ceremony, and watching the union of two hearts. Likewise, if mates intend to have children, the Queen/King must be made aware, so that blessings can be given, and new lives may be noted and accounted for. Mating outside the kingdom is not prohibited, but again, the kingdom member mating outside the kingdom must inform the Queen/King or other council wolves of their choice, and introduce the mate. As long as a member stays loyal and true to their Queen/King, very few limitations will be placed upon them. NO MATES IN ENEMY KINGDOMS OR PUNISHMENT WILL FOLLOW.
7. TRIALS AND CHALLENGES: WE ARE A FAMILY. Family will butt heads, but always remember to put differences aside for the good of the kingdom. If a member has a problem with another, or a higher-ranking member, they are encouraged to approach the Marquis with their worries. Both sides of the problem will be considered, and a fair judgment will be given. Also, the rape of allies/kingdom members, enslavement, or murder of allies is not permitted. In turn, the same is expected of allies. Rape is punishable by death, even if the assailant is the victim's mate. Murder is punishable by exile from the kingdom, and if they are caught on kingdom lands, there will be a bounty upon their head.
8. ALL VISITORS AND ROGUES: Prospective new members must be brought to the notice of all leads, so that they may meet and assess the newcomer themselves. Trespassers will be attacked viciously, unless they are allies. All visitors must wait outside the borders patiently. Members of Allied Kingdoms are to be welcomed and escorted in. Members of Enemy kingdoms are to be intercepted and escorted/run out of the territory, with force if needed, and only if needed.
9. MEETINGS: Meetings are mandatory, not optional. They will happen often, to keep the kingdom connected and to hold Ceremonies and Celebrations, such as Mating Ceremonies, as well as celebrations of new blood. When the Queen/King, Marquis, or Council calls a meeting, you are expected to arrive, if not promptly, then at least in time to hear what they have to say.
10. LEAVING: Members are allowed to leave the kingdom, but the Queen/King and or Marquis must be notified and spoken to beforehand about the member's plans. You can always come back, but you may be ranked as a Proselyte depending on the length of your leave.
11. ENEMY STATUS: Make an enemy of the kingdom, and you have them for life. They will not rest, they will not forget. Betrayal of the kingdom and the breaching of rules can result in enemy status. Enemy status within Rasende can boast of relentless attempts at punishment that can stretch as far as execution. Be aware of this as you make your decisions.
12. ACTIVITY: We all understand real life comes first, we will not generally remove you for inactivity unless you disappear for at least 6 months without any explanation or check-in. If, for some reason, a lead goes inactive and is unable to return, their rank will be opened for auditions, and staff will decide who best fits the position. If they go inactive, but will be able to return, staff will temporarily lead that branch with a member of the council.
13. ANY ADDITIONS: These rules are subject to being added to at any point. (Or removed from!)
OUT-OF-CHARACTER RULES
PERTAINING TO BEHAVIORS:
1. RESPECT. You should be respectful of your fellow members, no matter what rank. If you're speaking to a high rank / staff for problems, remember to remain calm and not be disrespectful. The staff is here to help you, and we're not looking down on anybody. If another member is being disrespectful, politely remind them of the rules and then tell a staff member / high-ranking online by opening a ticket or through DMs if they continue to break the rules.
2. ACTIVITY. We wholeheartedly support the truth that real life comes before roleplay. While some of our staff are keen on activity, that doesn't mean you need to be on every day. All of us are a part of other kingdoms as well, so we understand dividing your time between them. All we ask is for communication, with the use of both the availability and absence channels.
3. BLOCKING/PROBLEMS. It is preferred that you do not block your fellow members, no matter if you have a problem with them or not. If you have a problem with somebody, as stated in rule 1, come to a staff member or high rank online through DMs. If you're having a problem with a staff member or high rank, go to another. In both instances, if you have screenshots of the issue, please provide them. The staff / high ranks will handle it as necessary.
4. SWEARING/LANGUAGE. While swearing is allowed, we'd prefer that you keep it to a minimum, but as long as you're not going overboard, then it won't be a problem. If you're offending somebody or if we feel you're going overboard, we'll bring it up in DMs.
5. DRAMA. Do not start drama with others under the kingdom's name, and do not pretend to be staff to cause problems. Do not start drama within the group. If you do so with either and are caught, you may be demoted or punished in some way. Drama in character is fine, but do not bring it out of character.
6. TOPICS/MATURE THEMES. In this roleplay, some triggering topics are mentioned. While we're understanding if it's part of your backstory, remember to use trigger warnings or spoilers, as well as keep darker roleplays in the gore channels. If found not to be using trigger warnings, even if asked by staff, you will be warned and then muted for a short period of time. Extreme circumstances can lead to a kick and ban from the group. Any nsfw rp should be kept in DMs, although gore is allowed in the proper channels.
7. ADDITIONS. If there are further rules that need to be specified, then they will be added.
PERTAINING TO CHARACTERS:
1. ADDING / REMOVING CHARACTERS. We have a limit of 5 to begin with. If you wish to switch out a character for another, the new character will be placed as a beginning tier in the rank you desire. Any characters added after the five to start with will be purchased through our market! There is a limit of 5 NPCs allowed per user.
2. SPECIES. We began as a wolf pack, although the kingdom is known to permit mixed acceptance as long as they're able to contribute to the kingdom in some way. Any canine that is partially wolf, even if mixed with a dog of some sort, is allowed. The player will just have to keep in mind the disadvantages and advantages the mixed breed may have. As well as how some members may treat them. We also allow other species, which are detailed in the accepted species document.
3. SIZING. As we're semi-realistic, we'd like to remind members to keep their sizing at a reasonable place. We do accept those with mixed breeding of canines or other creatures, so quite large sizing is understandable. But if you're a full-grown wolf and you're closer to pup sizing without some genetic abnormality, we will ask you to fix it. You have to keep in mind the difficulties that an unusually small or unusually large canine would face in the wild.
4. CHANGING RANKS. If you wish to change ranks, you will be moved back to the beginning tier in the rank you desire. You'll have to work back up to whatever level you were. This is just to make it fair so people aren't hopping around ranks once they're unhappy, or so people are only changing once, instead of changing and then changing back.
5. CHARACTER INJURIES/DEATH. While it’s understandable to want to kill off a character, we do request that it be on rare occasions. We don’t want to see members killing off a character, bringing in a new one, and then killing them off as well. You will need staff approval for a character to die in an event.
6. ADDITIONS. If there are further rules that need to be specified, then they will be added.
PERTAINING TO SPARRING:
1. AUTO-HITTING / METAGAMING / POWERPLAYING / GODMODDING. None of these are allowed. A high rank will be present in the channel as you spar to oversee and make sure that no cheating or other dishonest actions are occurring.
2. DODGING/HITS. Dodging is allowed; however, we do follow the 3:1 ratio. For every three attempted hits, one will land. You may dodge some, but something will have to land. Again, you may converse with a partner beforehand to decide what hits will land, but your character cannot just escape a spar absolutely unscathed.
3. ITEMS. Items should already have been cleared by high ranks or staff, but are not allowed as an advantage for spars. If mentioned, we will ask you to change your post, or just ignore whatever portion it was used for. If used for an attack, we will ask you to change the attack.
4. BEFORE. Before a spar, opponents should agree on any moderate injuries, such as trying to tear an ear or going for the eyes. We ask that any severe injuries be avoided in sparring, but will be permitted in events or personal plots with staff approval. You don't need to agree on who should win a spar unless you'd like to further a personal plot. It's also viewed as polite to wish your sparring partner good luck.
5. STOPPING. If a high rank comes in and orders the spar over, refrain from any further attacks. If you try to continue and ignore the commands, the high rank will use force to stop you, and you may face punishment later.
6. AFTER. Once a spar is finished, both opponents will usually give each other some sort of acknowledgment of the fight, saying a good job or just thanking them for a good spar. Then, you'll be sent off to the healers.
7. ADDITIONS. If there are further rules that need to be specified, then they will be added.
